Shared Expectations & Joint Action Plans – Trust Building

Shared Expectations & Joint Action Plans - Trust Building

Facing issues with Trust Quotient, amongst teams, that’s killing the Productivity & Customer Happiness??

Mr Arun Karna, MD of AT&T India, shared with us how they being a global and extremely customer-centric organisation, where customised solutioning is their motto, overcame this Organisational Phenomena.

They began with the top leadership and conducted several Shared Expectation Sessions where Business Heads of two different units sit across the table with a moderator in the middle. They share expectations and moderator helps stream-line discussions and come up with Joint Action Plan. In Arun’s own, “This started on a fiery and volatile note, but we moderated well and kept at it with action-planning; now we rarely have issues with trust or harmony!”

Handling Difficult Behaviors

Handling Difficult Behaviors

Yes, there are difficult behaviors to handle in a team. And often, our first thought is to exclude the person instead of conversing. Follow these:

1- Overcome your negative feelings and prepare yourself for (a possible series of) Rational negotiation/conversation.

2- Observe and investigate into Areas and Frequencies they are difficult about.

3- If required, inquire within the team for more inputs and validation.

4- Pen-down the areas that are difficult and also pleasant.

5- Sit down in an informal (or formal if situation is very intense) setting to talk. But Listen First & Don’t Judge!

6- Give time and space for transformation. Stay positive & plant positive!
